This privacy policy (“ Privacy Policy”, “ Policy”) describes the practices of   Butler At Your Service Inc.   (“ Butler At Your Service”, “ we”, “ us”, “ our”) with respect to our collection, use, storage and disclosure of Personal Information provided to us from users of our mobile applications, websites and other online products and services (collectively, the “ Services”). It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your Personal Information and how you can access and update this information.   This Policy is incorporated by reference to the Terms and Conditions located at http://www.ebutlers.ca/en/privacy-terms/ , and forms an integral part of it.

When you sign up with Butler At Your Service use our Services, you are agreeing to this Privacy Policy and to the Terms and Conditions. By providing Personal Information (as defined below), you consent to the use of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, do not provide any Personal Information to us.

  1. Introduction

We respect and uphold individual rights to privacy and the protection of Personal Information.   We know how important it is to protect your Personal Information and want to make every customer experience safe and secure. In keeping with that goal, we have developed this Policy to explain our practices for the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information.  

For the purposes of this Policy, “ Personal Information” means information about an identifiable individual, including, for example, an individual’s name, home address, telephone number, social insurance number, sex, income and family status. Personal Information does not include information that would enable an individual to be contacted at a place of business, for example an employee’s name, position or title, business telephone number, or business address.   We will only collect, use or disclose Personal Information in accordance with this Policy, or in accordance with laws applicable to the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information by us (“ Applicable Privacy Laws”).

  1. Collection and Use of Personal Information

We collect two types of information through our Services (Personal Information and non-Personal Information), depending on the nature of your interaction with us.

We also automatically gather non-Personal Information about your device such as your IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, operating system, as well as which aspects of our performance metric indicators available with our technology or our licensee’s products you prefer using.

    1. Location Information

When you use our Services to connect with a Technician (as defined in the Terms and Conditions) or a Customer (as defined in the Terms and Conditions), we collect precise location data about you and your device in order to facilitate the transaction between you and the other user. If you permit Butler At Your Service to access your device’s location through the permission system of your device, we may also collect your location information while our Services are running in the foreground or background of your device. We may also derive your approximate location form your IP address.

We may use your Personal Information, in combination with your non-Personal Information, for a variety of business purposes, for example to:

We will collect, use, or disclose your Personal Information only with your knowledge and consent, except where required or permitted by Applicable Privacy Laws.   When you choose to provide us with your Personal Information you consent to the use of your Personal Information as identified in this Policy and as may be further identified at the time of collection.

Sometimes you will be asked to give your express consent to our collection, use or disclosure of Personal Information – for example, by being asked to check a box to indicate your consent to receive marketing communications.

    1. Implied Consent

Other times, you may provide your implied consent to our collection, use or disclosure of Personal Information when we can reasonably conclude that you have given consent by some action you have taken or an action you have decided not to take.   Generally, this occurs where the purpose for the use of your Personal Information would be reasonably apparent to you – for example, when you provide us with your address through forms while placing an order, you provide us with implied consent to use that address in order to fulfill your order.

    1. Withdrawing Your Consent

You may notify us at any time that you wish to withdraw or change your consent to our use and disclosure or your information.   We will accommodate your request subject to legal and contractual restrictions.

If you have "opted in" or subscribed to one of our mailing lists, we will always provide you the opportunity to "opt out" or unsubscribe.   For example, if you receive emails from us, we will provide a link in the email which you can use to unsubscribe from that mailing list[ , or you may contact us at info@ebutlers.ca].  

You may choose not to provide us with your Personal Information. However, if you make this choice we may not be able to provide you with the Services, or information that you requested.  

  1. Information Obtained from Third Parties

If you provide us Personal Information about others, or if others give us your Personal Information, we will only use that information for the specific reason for which it was provided to us.

  1. Disclosure and Sharing of Your Information

We will share your Personal Information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Policy. We will not sell your Personal Information to third parties.

We may provide your Personal Information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as web hosting providers, payment processors or customer service agencies. These companies are authorized to use your Personal Information only as necessary to provide these services to us, and in a manner consistent with this Policy.

Some of these operations may result in Personal Information collected by us being stored or processed in the United States and, as a result, your Personal Information may be accessible to law enforcement and regulatory authorities in accordance with the USA PATRIOT Act and other applicable laws of the United States.  

We may also disclose your Personal Information

We make your contact information available to other users that you transact with on this site to help complete the transaction.

  1. Information We Collect Automatically

In some cases, we automatically collect certain information.  

    1. Our Services

You do not need to create an account with Butler At Your Service to take a look around. However, if you decide to use our Services according to the Terms and Conditions, then you must create and account. To create an account, you are required to provide us with certain information, including Personal Information. We use the information we collect from you to provide the Services.

You will be required to provide similar information when you decide to buy trades related services from other users of the Services, or when you decide to provide trades related services to other users of the Services.

When using our Services, we may collect the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer or other device, the IP address of your Internet Service Provider, the date and time you access our Services, the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our Services, the operating system you are using, the sections of our Services you visit, the Services pages read and images viewed, and the content you download from the Services.   This information is used for Service and system administration purposes, and to improve the Services.

    1. Cookies

We use “cookies”, a technology that installs a small amount of information on a user’s device to permit our Services to recognize future visits using that device. Cookies enhance the convenience and use of the Services. For example, the information provided through cookies is used to recognize you as a previous user of the Service, to offer personalized content and information for your use, to track your activity on the Service, to respond to your needs, and to otherwise facilitate your Service experience. You may choose to decline cookies if your browser permits, but doing so may affect your use of the Service and your ability to access certain features of the Service or engage in transactions through the Service.

    1. Tracking Information

We may use web beacons or single-pixel gif tags to compile tracking information reports regarding Service user demographics, Service traffic patterns, Service purchases and other aggregated Service statistics, and may be used in our emails to determine which emails and links have been used by recipients.   None of the tracking information in these reports can be connected to the identities or other Personal Information of individual users. For our own research purposes we may link tracking information with Personal Information voluntarily provided by Service users. Once such a link is made, all of the linked information is treated as Personal Information and will be used and disclosed only in accordance with this Policy.

    1. Third Parties

Our Services may contain links to other websites or Internet resources which are provided solely for your convenience and information. When you click on one of those links you are contacting another website, mobile application or Internet resource and you are subject to their privacy policies. We have no responsibility or liability for, or control over, those other websites, mobile applications or Internet resources or their collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information.   We encourage you to read the privacy policies of those other websites to learn how they collect and use your Personal Information.

We use a third party to gather information about how you and others use our Services. For example, we will know how many users access a specific page and which links they clicked on. We use this aggregated information to understand and optimize how our Services are used.


Additionally, advertisements appearing through the Services may be delivered by us or one or more third-party advertisers. These third party web advertisers may set cookies. This information allows advertisers to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you.


This Privacy Policy applies to cookies placed on your device by us, but does not cover the use of cookies by any third-party advertisers.   For the privacy practices of such third-party advertisers, you should consult the applicable privacy policy for the relevant third-party web advertiser(s).

  1. Security of Personal Information  

The security of your Personal Information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number) on our order forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

  1. Removal of Your Information

We keep your information only as long as we need it for legitimate business purposes and to meet any legal requirements. Personal Information used to make a decision that directly affects an individual will be kept for at least one year after such a decision. We have retention standards that meet these parameters. We destroy your information when it is no longer needed or required to be kept, or we remove your personally identifiable information to render it anonymous.

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes we will notify you by email (sent to the email address specified in your account) or by means of a notice on the Services prior to the change becoming effective.
